Weddings

Congratulations!
Wow, what an exciting day you're planning! So much to do and so little time.

For many couples, finding the right photographer is among the main priorities when planning their special day. You’ll be looking for someone who understands you and your plans for the wedding day, gives you peace of mind that everything is under control and provides just the right amount of direction on the big day to get everything right.

Whether your the sort of person that hates having their picture taken, or someone who loves to play to the camera, I’m the right choice for you. With my relaxed style, friendly manner and sense of humour, expert photography skills and great attention to detail, I will make sure that I record all those special moments of the day as they happen; all the smiles, laughs, tears, joy and happiness will be there for you to cherish for years to come. Whether you’re looking for meticulously planned and posed portraits, fluid and candid ‘as-it-happened’ photos or a combination of the two, I’ll make sure you have the pictures you deserve.

Wedding photography prices

I really like to tailor your wedding package to your exact requirements once I’ve had a chance to speak with you. However, I understand that an idea of likely costs is useful. To work out the guide price for your wedding:

  • Prices start at £500 for a half day (4 hours) – this covers preparation and planning, travel (up to 20 miles distance and 30 minutes travel time), photo production and professional enhancement and retouching of 20 pictures for you to own as digital copies.
  • Estimate the number of additional hours you want me present for – I charge a flat rate of Â£45 per (part) half hour
  • Additional digital images, printed photos, wall art (canvases, edge blocks etc) and albums are all priced separately – these can be discussed as part of your package or after your wedding.

Before the big day

At our initial conversation - I will get the essential information about your wedding day: date, times, rough number of guests, order of events. Depending on your location, I will also arrange a date and time for us to meet up to get to know each other, cover off the finer details and to explore exactly what you’re expecting of your photographer. It would be my pleasure to take you out for a tea or coffee and cakes at a venue local to you for this.

After this meeting, I will ask you for the booking fee to secure my services. If you subsequently need to cancel your booking, this is refundable in full any time up to 6 weeks before your wedding, and 50% refundable up to 3 weeks before.

About a month before your wedding - we will speak again to make sure that everything is progressing as expected and to understand if there have been any changes to the arrangements. At this time I will also ask you to get in touch with your wedding venue to get a convenient date and time for me to visit them, to view the inside spaces and gardens* (if applicable). Please don’t feel you have to wait until this chat to let us know of changes, or to ask questions though.

I will ask for the balance of the photography cost to be settled at this point.

A week before your wedding - we will arrange a time to speak, preferably via video call, to run through the order of the day, log any specific photos you want arranged (friend and family groups, posed bride and groom etc.) and finalise all the details.

The day before - If we are moving locations for different parts of your day (e.g. bride’s home, to church, to reception venue) we will need time to set up any required equipment before the wedding party arrive*.

On the day

I will arrive at the first location of the day half an hour before the kick off. If you have any changes to your requirements, I'll do my utmost to accommodate them on the day, just let me know. Equally, if you have any concerns at any point, please don’t hesitate to speak with me.

Should you want me to remain for longer than originally discussed, this is absolutely fine but is subject to a flat rate of £50 for each additional (part, or complete) half hour.

At the end of the event I'll let you know how much (if any) additional time I've done, pack my equipment and leave after and checking that you are happy for me to do so.

Viewing and purchasing your photos

I will aim to have your photos ready for viewing within 2 weeks of your wedding day, usually a lot sooner, but if for any reason it's going to be longer then I’ll let you know. When finished, I’ll drop you an email to let you know and we will arrange a time for you to come and view the portfolio and select your desired pictures. Digital copies of 30 of the pictures are included in the booking fee.

I offer a range of products such as wedding albums, canvas prints, wooden edge blocks & framed prints. These take between 2 - 4 weeks to produce from the point of ordering, depending on volume, sizes and product types.

* Depending on the location(s) of the venue(s), additional travel costs may need to be charged. This will be discussed during our planning conversations.

Sample shots from some recent weddings

Once we’ve got your pictures ready, we will contact you to arrange a date for you to come and view them.

Wedding albums, canvas prints, specialist frames and many other products are all priced individually. We’ll discuss prices for your tailored package once you’ve decided what you want.
